Europa League and Conference League: win probabilities now covered

AI Football Predictor now covers the Europa League and the Conference League, on top of the Champions League and the domestic leagues and cups we already follow. Every match gets its win, draw and loss probability, locked before kickoff and checked against the real result.

How the model rates European matches

In Europe, clubs from different countries meet, so a league table says nothing about who is stronger. We use the same joint model as for the Champions League: it rates every club of every league we follow on one common scale, from recent domestic and European results, with more weight on the latest matches.

• European results count double, because they are the only direct comparison between countries.
• The probability is for the result after 90 minutes.
• Each team needs at least 8 recent matches in our data.

Which matches are covered

We only publish a probability when both clubs play in a league our model follows: England, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Portugal, the Netherlands, Scotland, Belgium, Turkey, Greece, Croatia, Serbia, Ukraine, Cyprus and Bulgaria. Matches with a club from a league we do not follow yet are left out rather than guessed: we prefer fewer matches to unreliable numbers.

When do the first ones appear?

The next European matchday comes after the November international break. Probabilities appear up to four days before each match, in the app, on the website and in the widgets, and the most likely outcomes (65% and over) are highlighted in green as usual.
